Why does he go up from >$820 to $1200 even though nobody else was bidding on it? there is another bidder the lead bidder placed a MAX bid which means that he will appear as the lead bidder as long as all others bidding dont bid over his max so the second bidder seems to be bidding against himself but he is really bidding against the lead bidder's max bid, but has not yet bid over the leads max bid an example i bid $50 with a max of $100 you come along and bid $60 the bidding histroy will look like this Blincoe $65 Pallav $60 Blincoe $50 now you want to try to out bid me so you place a another bid for $70 new bid history: Blincoe $75 Pallav $70 Pallav $60 Blincoe $50 ok?
