This is an industry I keep very close tabs on, and I would highly recommend the ATI card versus the FX. Games are veering to DirectX, and the 9xxx series Radeon cards offer better performance with DX than the Geforce FX series. I can understand the philosophy behind 'keeping it all together', but, in this case, nothing would be gained.
