"Chess is a game for the strong people with strong character", Mikhail Botvinnik (NY, 1984). Stop the whinning and crying and bitching... The GM is going to prepare for the match, and he is certainly going to buy a copy of the program and study the strengths and weaknesses of the engine. So if there's no prepared opening book for Hiarcs to meet this GM, the match will certainly be slop-sided in favor of the GM. Another problem with this type of match is that this match should have been arranged before the release of the program so that the GM would have no way to learn anything about the chess engine he is going to play against, the same what happenned with GM Kasparov in match with DB. I think this type of match would be more fair, and it will then show if the chess engine will indeed play in GM strength.
