The current source of datacomp puts them in the xxxxx.nbx.emd format - which is a little easier on the eyes. It woudlbe easy to test - just grab the knbk.nbx.emd's and set up the position. Change the name to knbknbx.emd and see if it still works. The "x" is either "w" or "b".
