Both naming conventions should work. However, there is a small error in the TB
access code of Eugene Nalimov, which makes 4 vs 1 TBs nonfunctional, when they
have the naming convention with only one dot. All other 3/4/5 men TBs will have
no problems. It is possible, that this error makes the engine actually a bit
stronger (4 vs 1 TBs are almost useless for engine strength, but they still use
resources. They are useful in some positions, when you want to see a mate score,
instead of say +10).

None with chessmaster. Both formats should work well with the other ones
mentioned (besides the 4 vs. 1 problem mentioned).
