Hi Chris, I got my Shredder 9 copy today, so I of course let it analyse a bit here too. :) The other line has just the advantage that it's a forced draw. But apart from that I don't see any evidence that 1.Bd5 is clearly better than 1.Bxb7. After 1.Bxb7 e2 2.Re1 Rf8 3.Kg2 we have [d]5rk1/pB2n3/6pQ/4q3/8/2P3P1/P3p1KP/4R3 b - - 0 1 Analysis by Shredder 9 SE: 3...Rf7 4.Qd2 Nf5 5.Ba6 Nh4+ 6.gxh4 Qe4+ 7.Kg1 Qg4+ 8.Kh1 Qf3+ 9.Kg1 Qf2+ 10.Kh1 Qf3+ 11.Kg1 Qf2+ 12.Kh1 Qf3+ = (-0.07) Depth: 15/44 00:02:50 57191kN 3...Rf7 4.Qd2 Nf5 5.Ba6 Nh4+ 6.gxh4 Qe4+ 7.Kg1 Qg4+ 8.Kh1 Qf3+ 9.Kg1 Qf2+ 10.Kh1 Qf3+ 11.Kg1 Qf2+ 12.Kh1 Qf3+ = (-0.07) Depth: 16/46 00:04:52 95150kN 3...Rf7 4.Qd2 Nf5 5.Ba6 Nh4+ 6.gxh4 Qe4+ 7.Kg1 Qg4+ 8.Kh1 Qf3+ 9.Kg1 Qf2+ 10.Kh1 Qf3+ 11.Kg1 Qf2+ 12.Kh1 Qf3+ = (-0.07) Depth: 17/48 00:09:08 174904kN Analysis by Hiarcs 9: 3...Qf6 4.Qf4 Qxc3 5.Qc1 Qxc1 6.Rxc1 Nf5 7.Ba6 Nd4 8.Re1 Re8 9.Bd3 Kg7 10.Kf2 Rh8 = (0.04) Depth: 12/35 00:01:01 14035kN 3...Rf7 4.Qd2 Nf5 5.Bf3 Ne3+ 6.Kf2 Ng4+ 7.Kg2 Ne3+ = (0.00) Depth: 13/40 00:07:47 105960kN Analysis Regards, Martin
