Botvinnink thought for roughly 30 minutes and a documentary aired long ago on television (PBS I think) had a bit about this famous position. Today's comps take seconds (Hiarcs 9 as shown above; Shredder 9 was also very fast; Crafty ... I bet the list is long). Computer chess has truly come a very long way on PCs. Roy
