GK says what he wants you to believe. The truth is, the all the logs for all
the games have been on the web for quite some time. Why is it that the two best
chess players of the last 40 years have a hard time dealing with the truth and
telling the truth?

Will somebody please send him a link to the logs and tell him to ...never mind,
it will not do any good.

Of course, he is right about the PR aspect. After all, that is what sponsorship
is about. Corporate sponsors put up the money to get PR. When Kaspaorv played
Deeb Blue, Kasparov put up nothing, and IBM footed all the bills and the prize
money. Yes, they did this for PR ....duhhh! Does GK think IBM did this because
GK is a nice guy? I don't think so. For somebody as smart as he is looking at
moves ahead in a chess game, did it never occured to him that if he bit the hand
feeding him (IBM), that IBM would pulled the plug. If you read Hsu's book, he
implies the decision for IBM not to offer a rematch and to dismantle Deeb Blue
was essentially made when GK first went on accusatory tirade shortly after the
match. He turned the good PR into bad PR with those unfounded accusations and
essentially pulled the plug on Deeb Blue and ended IBM's gravy train that he was
the beneficiary of. He has nobody but himself to blame for IBM pulling the
plug. He helpmated himself by being a fool.
