Subject: OT - Drueke Player's Choice Sells for $200 (?)

Mr. Moderator, you are freely forgiven if you nuke this post.

I see where a garden variety Drueke Player's Choice plastic tournament set just
sold on eBay for a little over $200.00. Is it just me, or does this sound a
little high?

There's nothing in the product description suggesting the set was ever licked by
Alexandra Kosteniuk, used by Sam Sloan or urinated upon by Bobby Fischer. Please
don't misunderstand -- I really like those old Drueke sets. If I didn't already
own one I might be willing to pay $70.00 or so to add one to my personal
collection.

It's possible I'm missing something and, if so, I would appreciate the
education.

In any event, I hope both buyer and seller are happy with the transaction.
