I would like to see a qualifying tournament and candidates matches. Only in this
way can we see who is the best. Leko does not deserve a second chance just
because he drew the match with Kramnik. Bronstein did not get a rematch with
Botvinnik when their match was a draw. However, I have no doubt that Leko would
qualify and go far in a candidates tournament. The same goes for Anand. He had a
chance against Kasparov. He also had another chance to play Kasparov in 99 or
2000 and declined. Kramnik took his opportunity and made the most of it. Sadly,
With Kasparov retired I don't see enough money coming in to chess to make
candidates tournaments possible. Maybe soon there will be no classical world
champion, Just fide champion.
Regards
Tony
