As I understand it, the serial numbers on the CC1's don't indicate >production dates in any manner - is that correct? yes correct the serial numbers were randomly issued and have a very wide range from 4 digits to as many as 6 So how does one know that a >CC1 is an early production model or not? An early sales date, if known, would >be an indicator, but a late sales date would not preclude the machine being an >early model. > >Are there any ways to determine this? not that i know of again i will check my CC1 manual in May i bought a fairly early one but i cant say the exact date it was over 27 years ago :)) i have a fairly strong suspicion however that there was only one production run i know that exactly 1000 Units were made my Fidelity but its possible that by the time the last units left the factory, Fidelity already knew that there was a mistake with the notation(because the USCF and others would have contacted them as soon as the first shipments hit the stores) so they added the upgrade info into the manual. i am only surmising of course even if my manual has the upgrade info it dosent mean there are manuals without it Steve bvye last units to go out the door have a manual sent with it > >Thanks, > >Dick Schneiders
