My answer to (1)is simple: If you want the strongest chess playing program on the market, buy Junior 9. If you want the best analysis tool on the market, buy Shredder 9. Answering (3)... yes, Junior 9 still has the stalemate bug in positions like KB1r4/P7/2k5/2P5/8/8/8/8 b - - 0 1 This position alone disqualifies Junior's use for analysis.
