Subject: C / C++ standards

I was reading (basicly a pissing match) on the Bloodshed Software forum

Someone mentioned ANSI C as the standard and another replied ISO C is the
standard (or something along that order). Rather than step into an anal
retentive thread there I thought I'd ask here.

Does one superceed the other? Are there two standards? I want a better
understanding of the current state. Comments and / or links most welcome.
