By October, my wife was calling me "Pumpkin" and life was good. Inexplicably, in the following month, "Pumpkin" turned into "Turkey" overnight. It wasn't a one time slip. "Turkey" does quite have that same romantic touch to it -- try telling your wife to call you "Turkey" romatically -- it is simply not possible. Not quite ready to see my marriage go down in the second month and not wanting to be called the "Turkey" the rest of my life, I gently inquire as to what happened to "Pumpkin" and where exactly is this "Turkey" coming from? Without missing a beat and not even taking time to stop what she was doing, she said, "Listen Honey, 'Pumpkin' was for Halloween - that's over now, this is is November and we have Thanksgiving and now you're the 'Turkey'" As a New Yorker, I am sure you will appreciate my wife's sense of humor. The good news is that 'Turkey' did not stick and I will never ever tell you what she calls me now. Chubby Regards, Michael
