I was just pointing out in the post that Crafty and Yace differ in the direction they do the analysis. As a matter of fact, Crafty is the only engine I am aware of that does it front to back but I am not familiar with all the engines. I know that the early versions of Shredder also analyzed back to front. I assume it still does. Personally, I feel that back to front has an advantage over front to back. But the engines are so strong that, for me at my level, the direction is immaterial. Steve
