there were different programs in excellence and in par excellence versions.

e.g. i remember a par excellence that was good with passed pawns and another one
that was lousy. ONE par excellence was compelety idiot with double pawns, and
another one better-

same for the excellence.

in general the excellence versions played better with pawns then the par
excellence versions.

as far as i know 3 mhz was standard, because once we oc a unit to 4.2 mhz.
