>I think I recall reading that the V 2.2 module can be upgraded to a 2.5. Is >this still true, or did that option die with Tasc? well its kinda sorta like an upgrade the Eprom itself has to be replaced but if you wind up doing that you want to make sure you have an AUTHENTIC Tasc 2.5 Eprom many people can make a copy of the 2.5 Eprom(with an Eprom Copier)and offer it to you and then you can repelace it yourself while Tasc is no longer in business i guess this is not considered illegal, however, for the true collector having a Tasc unit with a copied Eprom is much different then an originally released Eprom in addition,if you ever want to trade it or sell it you would have to mention this fact if you want to be an honorable collector(IMO) for the non-collector i imagine this would make no difference except perhaps from a moral point of view for myself collector or player..i dont like the idea of non-authorized copies of anything this is why i wont collect modified computers..just no interest in it for me perhaps you see this in collecting the old Vinyl Lp's?? certainly i would think you would have no interest in a bootleg copy of an old Album but then again,i really dont know this field..perhaps even bootleg copies are considered collectable?
