For positional learning I can only answer for those I have and here only Shredder, Gandalf and Rebel have it (I don't have any Fritzes after version 6). I haven't study freeware engines too much but Yace, Crafty and ProDeo have both learning features. For dedicated units I have no idea, among my 5 unit here no of them have any learning. (Instead of positional learning, another method to play a slightly different path is to have some randomness. Chessmaster do this for lower levels, and also a lot of the dedicated units.) Odd Gunnar
