The following is suggestive of what is possible: http://www.grailmaster.com/misc/chess/comp/cm.html The site claims that CM9000 can be improved by as much as 155 rating points. It also gives the various settings to be used, but apparently many of them are for CM being used under a different interface. I'm not sure what difference this makes. As for how to do all this, I can't help you there, but you might try posting a question about how to tweak CM9000 to play better in a new thread.
