Subject: Chess on Fossil wristwatch

I have bought Fossil FX2008 Palm PDA wristwatch (
http://www.fossil.com/jump.jsp?itemID=2208&itemType=CATEGORY ) with the
intention of playing chess on it when I am tr to kill time. Motorola 66MHZ
processor, 8 MB ram, Palm OS 4.

I have installed Hiarcs, ChessGenius and Chess Tiger on it. Since they are all
demos, I cannot say anything about their strength but from the reviews I have
read, Hiarcs seems to be strongest. ChessGenius has the cleanest interface, you
can play on a large board and see the clock at the same time. Hiarcs
unfortunately does not have this, whereas CT does.

The watch is huge. You do not feel its weight on your wrist, but it will not
get under a shirt sleeve. A friend asked me whether it can wash the laundry :) I
play a game or two a day and need to charge it almost everyday. The leather is
band is not a standard band so I assume I will end up paying 20-50 USD for the
band when it is time to change it. It is not water-proof so you have to be
careful with it. Other than these, it is what I wanted. A solid strong chess
program on a watch.
