Canon cameras which sell in USA for say $1200 dollars US cost £1200 pounds sterling in UK and there are 1.8 dollars to the pound. Same with all electronic goods sold internationally - iPod 4G 40 gB is £280 pounds and I expect can be had in USA for about $222.
