Notice that i don't believe Hydra, would not belong to the top programs if it wasn't playing on such a "huge" hardware, but it is the top program (undefeated on Playchess.com, very good tournament results,....,etc) because it plays on such a "huge" hardware. And i can add that the interesting and impressive attacking style of Hydra is not based on the hardware but on the algorithms it's using (knowledge). And the fast hardware helps of course the attacks to be precise and correct. This is a clever way.... Create an attacking engine, and give it the best hardware so it will outsearch its opponents, so the attacks will be successful. That is what Hydra doing mostly.........
