But nevertheless, Hiarcs is so strong (even on my old 144 MHz Tungsten T) that the exact strength does not have any practical importance to me. For me, the small display is not a problem at all. On the contrary, I am almost 100% sure that I play better on the small LCD display on my Palm than with a real chess board. A small 2D board makes it easier for me to have a clear vision of the whole board without moving my eyes. The reason for my preference is probably that I very rarely play chess on a real chess board, but often read chess books and magazines. When I analyse a chess position, it is almost always from a small printed diagram. Tord
