Paging file placement is not that important in my view if the machine has sufficient RAM. Yes Windows XP will always page, but there is ittle to be gained imho. Tablebases is a good example where you may see some improvement. Put them all on the second newly formatted drive, and they will all be nicely placed at the fastest part of the disk (ie.e. the beginning) and not defragmented.
