Subject: What is the best method to connect two PCs to play chess?Not for SteveB!

I have done a little research and results are a bit confusing. It would seem
that a Auto232 cable is best but where do you get one?
If I connect both PCs with a crossover how can I configure two engines to play?
In Shredder 8 it seems to only support Auto232, as does Arena.

I really want to test Genius 7.1 v  programs like ProDeo Fruit etc. I could just
do it manually but surely in this day and age two networked PCs are best.
