Peter, OK I agree - if an engine has little or no endgame knowledge then tablebases will have a >30 ELO impact. However for engines with a decent amount of endgame knowledge (e.g. all king and minor piece mates and square of pawns rule) I doubt that it will have a significant impact on playing strength.
