As a chess player, Kasparov has been the best. That is what companies do - they make money. If they do not, they do not stay around very long. But it is not thing they do - they provide goods and services that help people live better. Would you want to venture a guess how much IBM equipment is in hositpals through out the world that enable the hositpals to take better care of their patients. Health care is big business - and good health care enables people to live longer and more productive lives. Think of how our health care system would be if there were no companies (that make money) around to provide any goods or services to a hospital. No telephone systems, no radios, no monitoring equipment , no hitech surgical equipment etc. That's how it would be if we had no companies around that make money. The profit motive has been a great driver for people to invent things that improve the world we live in. I would not suggest changing that...
