Hi Thomas,

I don't know which version of wb2uci SC uses. This is the Quark 2.55.eng file
that Shredder 9 UCI created:

[ENGINE]
Name=Quark 2.55
Author=Thomas Mayer
Filename=C:\Sakk\Shredder 9 UCI\wb2uci.exe
[OPTIONS]
LoadEngine=C:\Sakk\WinBoard\Engines\Quark\Quark_255.exe
ShowStats=0
SendToEngine=

Looks like it is quite different from yours. But the problem is not this.
Installed under SC as a WB engine, it works all right.

Gábor
