I'm really delighted that you are running such interesting tournament, showing
the great strenghts of shredder 9 as the most complete program of the field.

 To quote a few remarks:

I' ve noticed shredder 9 performs pretty well on all time controls, but for my
taste it plays too slow. Also, I've ran some tests changing its time management
to get it to play a little faster, and to my surprised...it performed worse!
Surely, you must have noticed Junior 9 playing much faster than Shredder and of
course Chess Tiger 15, which certainly will never get into time trouble. I
wonder if these two programs played a little slower , would they catch up
shredder in the crosstable? Is there a way to make Chess Tiger play slower? I
think it plays way too fast, but guess the time management a program makes has
certainly something to do with its search, so i doubt it would lead ct to
perform any better. Has anybody done research on this matter?

     Pablo
