Hi Graham and others, i have one problem....... I have never used before, Chessmaster parameters using outside text files. I used to have the parameters inside Wb2Uci.eng and not with the command: "Personality=<readfile>|combo|CM9File" I want to create the SKR for example, personality with a text file. Before using text files, i had the following working method: ----------------------------------- [ENGINE] Name=CM9000-SKR Author=Johan de Koning Filename=Wb2Uci.exe [OPTIONS] Program=TheKing.exe InitString=cm_parm default\cm_parm opk=611970 opp=100 opn=100 opb=100 opr=100 opq=100 myp=100 myn=100 myb=100 myr=100 myq=101 cc=105 mob=110 ks=155 pp=100 pw=100 avd=-2 cfd=0 sop=100 rnd=0 sel=12 md=99 HashCommand=cm_parm tts=33554432 ttu=7 InitTime=4 ............. ............. Visible=Ponder,Hash ---------------------------------- But now, using a text file, i have a file called CM9SKR.param and the following Wb2Uci.eng: ---------------------------------- [ENGINE] Name=CM9SKR Author=Johan de Koning Filename=Wb2Uci.exe [OPTIONS] Program=TheKing.exe InitString=cm_parm default\ncm_parm HashCommand=cm_parm tts=33554432 ttu=7 ................. ................. [EXTRAS] Personality=<readfile>|combo|CM9SKR ---------------------------------- But this method creates an engine that DOESN'T play with SKR settings but only with default ones...... I thought (it is in the Wb2Uci help) that the problem is that the CM9SKR file which has to be accessed, should be a txt file so i renamed the CM9SKR.param to CM9SKR.txt but with no success in having the correct personality running at Cheebase-GUI...... Can you tell me what is inside your Wb2Uci.eng and if you have CM9SKR.param or CM9SKR.txt...........? The CM9SKR.param file has the following: ++++++++++++++++++++++ [CM9SKR] Opponents Pawn (opp)=100 Opponents Knight (opn)=100 Opponents Bishop (opb)=100 Opponents Rook (opr)=100 Opponents Queen (opq)=100 ............ ............ Opponent's Weakness (oppw)=100 ShowThinkingMove=1 Logfile=1 ++++++++++++++++++++++
