Yes, I may be overly enthusiastic about chess programs in general. But then, I
play them (yes, I tend to play against chess programs and enjoy that a lot!) at
faster levels, up to G/30, and perhaps get a wrong impression. All that aside,
I think that for a program (Chess Wizard in this case) to achieve this kind of
rating in 12 games against GM opposition is a feat. Among other things, you
must have in mind that most of today's GMs have become "computer-savvy" more or
less.

About my page and my descriptions of the programs there: I see each new program
that plays reasonable chess as a little jewel, regardless of how strong it
exactly is. So, when I say that program X is a great program, I really mean it
-- of course, not in the sense that it is a true master, but that it plays
interesting chess, different from other programs. This variety is what I am
interested in. I'd say that I've turned into an addict of a sort, wishing to
find out as much as I can about the programs' strengths and weaknesses and
evaluating them objectively as much as I can. And again, I believe that I did
not exaggerate any program's strength by as much as you say -- for example, if
you tried to play Eugene 7.2 about which I said to be of master-strength, how
strong did you actually find it? Or, take another program which I believe to be
very strong to - Phalanx, or Little Goliath? Or the new Fortress (vers. 1.52),
that I just posted. I am about 2250, and still find it quite challenging, etc.

If you wish to play only the established commercial programs it is fine with me,
but I seek variety and enjoy it immensely. I enjoy the commercials too, of
course.

Regards,
Djordje
