My concerns have nothing to do with the possibility of an "iffy seller", but
totally with the possibility of loss or damage by the shipping company.  I
rarely buy anything from sellers that seem suspect, and I have seen far more of
them in the U.S. than anywhere else.

I will consider using the escrow service, in lieu of insurance, and probably pay
the entire amount of the service as the buyer.  I doubt that most sellers would
balk at that arrangement.
