If Ktulu was sold by Lokasoft then I would suggest that hype is't always what it seems. The advertising from that company regarding ChessTiger and Gandalf have been suspsect in the past and I would have stated it. This has _nothing_ to do with my dispute with the Arena team. I find the programs by Chessbase, ShredderChess, Lokasoft, and Arena to be hyped under false pretences most times. Shredder 8 is not much stronger than 7.04. Fritz 8 is not much stronger than 7. Gandalf 5 AND 5.1 were NOT stronger than 4.32H. Ruffian 2.0.0 was NOT stronger than 1.0.1 OR 1.0.5... the list goes on. Yet in all their advertising, they were deemed "stronger" than the previous version by xxx number of elo and was shown to be false. Like it or not, the advertising for chess programs is down right despicable. Peter
