I have used an older version to test drives for reliability. It worked well.

Steve Gibson, the author, has a tremendous reputation for innovative software,
even if he does say so himself. The guy's a genius.

But, if the drive is playing up but still workable, I would suggest buying
another 60 Gig drive and using Norton Ghost to copy the drive before it fails
completely.
