The price is only 25 Euros. On the other hand, the expenses for traveling and hotel would of course be non-trivial, and in this sense the tournament in Mainz has an obvious advantage for those of us with a limited budget. It is fantastic that the organisers pay for the hotel, and this is the main reason why I (just like you) am going to participate there, despite the fact I am not really interested in FRC at all. But of course, this has nothing to do with titles. >That is to be underlined. But the dense a competition is, the more exiting. I agree here, of course. :-) >May be I am more interested in competition of programs instead of muscles, may >be I am not that masculine as chess programmers usually are. Perfectly possible, and of course there is nothing wrong with that. Sometimes you just seem to forget that not everybody feels the same way about this. I am also a competitive person in some respects, by the way. But when I want to compete, I prefer running. Just a matter of taste, of course. :-) Tord
