Have you tried any of this? 1. Is the drive in Ultra DMA Mode 2? To check goto the Device Manager, look at the Secondary IDE Driver, goto Advanced Settings, and see if the drive is enabled under that. 2. Are you using the Adapter free ASPI drivers? If not get them here: http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.jsp?cat=/Product/ASPI-4.70&filekey=aspi_471a2.exe&sess=no 3. Have you updated whatever burning program that you are using? Tried another one? 4. Used a registry cleaner to make sure there is no corrupt registry setting that is finding back media when it is good? I have had this problem before. Try this one: http://www.kikrinc.com/regcleaner.exe It is freeware, and is the exact one I use. (In fact I just uploaded it for you :)) If that doesn't work let me know. I have about 5 gazillion fixes for cd-burners when they do bad, or the Windows driver does. Peter
