Former Soviet Union president Gorbachev will be in my area in the fall to play
Anatoly Karpov a game of chess.  Karpov has a chess school (his only one in the
U.S.) in a small town of Lindsborg, KS, about 13 miles from my home town.
Lindsborg only has a population of about 5,000, but there is a strong little
liberal arts college there.  Karpov and Gorbachev have been longtime personal
friends, and he was invited by Karpov to come and help him promote chess.
