My program at this point seems roughly equal in strength to the early 1980's dedicated units, so I enjoy trying these types of positions. (It beats up on Chess Challenger 7, but has a tough time with Constellation 3.6.) Anyway, my program sticks with Qc1. According to Fritz 7, Qc1 is actually a little better than Qb2 after 16 ply (+2.47 vs +2.07). Mark
