I see my 'explanation' of the test could be missunderstod. This test is that the user (or engine) take the side of one player in a game and start guessing his move. Usually the start is right after you get out of opening theorie. You get score for guessing correct move, many position have alternative moves with scores and some of these alternatives have even higher score than the played move. I create the test for the engine after I have made them myself. They are made in Chess Assistant with its 'complex' test method (it works just like my GradualTest with a graphical interface). Each move appears as a serie of epd positions, therefor I use 'keep hash' and learning on to not make them weaker. For now, I have no intention to go into depth of the test to find any error, this I leave to they who doupt it. The engines are used here as a collection of bits whitout their own soul. Odd Gunnar
