Sure it 'must' be some sort of technical device. Nothing with a nose would
continue to play a certain line, and then give up that early - nobody in their
right mind, that is.

It could be a buggy engine, or an illegal one that refuses to play out of book,
or more likely a buggy chesscomp - maybe one the older ones - that just wont
accept the input of Ne2 and crashes. What would you do as operator of such a
thing in that situation?

This leaves room for a laugh :-)
