The Chess Challenger that I recently bought on eBay with a Buy It Now for $14.95 arrived today and it is a CC1, as I suspected. No box, but the pieces and manual were included. Here is a partial list of known serial numbers that was posted on Ismenio's forum a few weeks ago. The serial number on this newest CC1 is 4035. These serial numbers don't seem to have any particular pattern, but does anybody know if the lower numbers mean earlier production dates? That would seem to make sense.
