The General Rules of the 2005 ICGA WCCC seem to allow remote participation via the Internet (at twice the entry fee) with the organizers providing an operator. For an amateur entrant, that's 50 Euro plus a membership in the ICGA (I let mine lapse a few years ago). Symbolic's toolkit is not strong enough on my available hardware to have much chance to place in the upper half of the field, although it would be interesting to see some of the games.
