Howdie all, I'm trying to get a program off the ground, and was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some very basic source. I'm looking for something that will display the board and its pieces in a dos console window, like: RNBQKBNR PPPPPPPP oxoxoxox xoxoxoxo etc... It should check for legal moves. It doesn't need ai for a computer opponent - I will implement that later, though, so appropriate data structures would be nice. I've done some preliminary research, and understand the concepts - I'd just like this code so I can jump right in. Thanks in advance, Mr Kaaaaa
