Hi I was testing my autoplayer over 2 pc`s and found out that fritz 8(bilbao)seems to be a fair bit stronger than shredder 8 at 1 min on their default settings. If i changed their parameters would this make them stronger/aggressive as its only a very short game? Would not using their opening books test the engines real engines abilities/strength? I have found this idea interesting as fritz,shredder and king 3.33 are more inventive on their own and wonder if they`re able to handle closed positions alot easier instead of using human gm games in a book which might take them in to certain middlegame positions v other programs/humans that might weaken their position and hinder their true potential/handling of them.
