It would be rare I think, but possible with fine-tuned settings. I have 27 engines now playing 10 games against Shredder 9. (270 games) After these games, I'll knock out one of the CM9 settings and 13 CMX settings. That will leave me with 13 settings, and I'll play 15 games more for each setting remaining. (195 games) Then, I'll knock out the bottom 7 settings. That will leave me with 6 settings, and they will each play 25 more games. (150 games) At this point I will already have 50 games each for the 6 top performing CM settings. I will use my judgement to decide whether I should knock out any more or keep going with these final 6 settings until the best settings have 100 games each. These numbers I threw up aren't locked in stone. If a couple engines are tied in score, (some making it, and others just barely into bottom half of the knockout) I may decide to keep all the tied engines. Jason
