      Hi Dave
It seems to be a matter of taste. Personally, I very much like
the standard of CCC forum and other sites made up the same way
      as per the following examples:

      http://f22.parsimony.net/forum41668/
      http://f50.parsimony.net/forum200321/
      http://www.computerschach.com/forum/
      http://f50.parsimony.net/forum202220/
      http://f50.parsimony.net/forum200336/index.htm
      http://f50.parsimony.net/forum200321/

On the other hand I can't work with design where you have
to click, again click and again click to be up to date
as per the following (for me bad) examples:

      http://wbforum.volker-pittlik.name/
      http://www.computerschach.com/forum/
      http://www.lokasoft.nl/forums
      http://newscid.proboards29.com/
      http://www.chessninja.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Such site are almost never visited by me as I find
them much to complicated. In principle I do not like
all forums which are divided in separate sections
and where a specific thread contains some hundred
of replies you have to go through.

      Kurt
