Go up one level in this thread
I would recommend you to do the following: 1) Install Junior9 from CD to a folder of your choice, for example c:\chess\junior9 (under no circumstances in the usual folder "C:\Programme\ChessBase\ChessProgram8" or similar where your other ChessBase programs have been installed) 2) Start Junior 9-GUI and go to the ChessBase Server. You should now be offered an update which please copy in a folder like "c:\chess", then copy the file "IUpgrade.exe" from "C:\Programme\ChessBase\ChessProgram8" to the folder "c:\chess" and afterwards run the "IUPgrade.exe" so that you will then have the new "Junior90.eng" which please copy to the usual ChessBase folder "C:\Programme\ChessBase\Engines". 3) Copy the file "jr_90.dll" from your folder "c:\chess\junior9" to "C:\Programme\ChessBase\Engines" and now you can as usual start your latest ChessBase- GUI (Fritz, Shredder, Hiarcs ...) and load Junior9.eng. 4) As soon as all is running fine, you can deinstall Junior9 (in your c:\chess\junior9 folder). Hope this works. Kurt
