Hello, I hope everybody is doing alright. Best wishes to Fernando! Next time somebody tries to sell us their bodyparts, we better keep our eyes open and send him or her to the doctor right away for a medical check-up! I would like to do a little update on the Pro Deo 1.1 Betazoid T90 settings -see http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?424656 about those-. I don't know if they will be close to the Betazoid T8 settings in performance, but on the offchance that Betazoid T8 really does better with 13 Mb hashtables than with greater numbers, relative to other settings under the same amount HT I mean, I would like to try some other versions, just to compare and that might possibly be tuned for a bit larger amount of transposition tables. Also I would like to see if it can use [Selective Search = 100] instead of [Adjusted Selectivity] in case that isn't supported anymore in newer Pro Deo versions. I'm not really a fan of [Selective Search = 80]. So [Selective Search = 100] will be more selective I think in the middlegame than [Adjusted Selectivity MIDG = 4] * Maximum selective depth (midgame) ,-which is what T8 has-, and might theoretically cause T90h to miss some tactics. The latest try for Pro Deo 1.1 Betazoid T90 has a bit higher king safety settings, so it will probably a bit more aggressive than Betazoid T8 already was. It is called Betazoid T90h and the only changes from Betazoid T90 are [King Safety = 175] and [Attractiveness = 115]. This version is still under construction and it might prove to have too much turbo charge! Only three tactical positions tested sofar, so very much testwork and/or possible changes to be done! Pro Deo 1.1 Betazoid T90h looks like this: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ [Personality = Betazoid T90h] * Pro Deo 1.1 (February 2005) [Pawn Value = 100] [Knight Value = 100] [Bishop Value = 100] [Rook Value = 100] [Queen Value = 100] [My Queen = 101] [King Safety = 175] [Mobility = 125] [Pawn Structure = 100] [Passed Pawns = 111] [Pins = 105] [Bishop Pair = 101] [Chess Knowledge = 200] [Attractiveness = 115] [Attacking = 100] [Strength of Play = 100] [Draw Contempt Factor = 0.00] [Selective Search = 100] [Search Technique = NULLMOVE] [Engine Master = off] off [Engine Learner = off] off|on [Book Learner = off] off|passive|moderate|strong|aggressive [Position Learner = off] off|on [Extended Book Learner = off] off|read|write|read&write * [Pruning = MISC_25] * [Pruning = MISC_37] * [Pruning = MISC_40] * [Pruning = MISC_52] * [Pruning ?
