(Sorry for placing it here - my mail is temporary unavailable,
and it's not completely offtopic).
1. There is no compressor source in the archive - is that
deliberately? (I don't need it :-), but maybe testers
do). Or you sent it to them via mail?
2. VC still cannot compile the sources - please remove bit
functions from x86.c; they are defined in include file,
and compiler is not very happy with functions redefinition.
3. Suggested addition to the step 2 of the experiment - after
call to IInitializeTb(), insert
{
extern int cbEGTBCompBytes;
printf ("%d bytes used by decompression tables and indices\n",
cbEGTBCompBytes);
}
This way we'll know difference in amount of used memory
for different block (chunk) size. Also, that info is useful for
tuning Crafty.
4. I sent you a fix to Alpha/NT UnLock(), and it's still not
incorporated...
