BTW, the other day, when preparing the package with the dead Digital Chess
articles, I thought of a proyect that could put us, old dedicated units commnity
fans, to work in something nice, funnny and delighting. Kind of History of Chess
Computers or perhaps an Encyclopedy.
Things like:
pogrammers. Whom they were, what happened to them...
Companies that existed, what they produced, anecdotes.
Computers, of couse: all of them, his peculiarities, the tournaments where they
went, succes and failures, etc
How the market was constituted, the very very expensive first computers, etc
Magazines and brochures of the era. The great age of big lyes.
Histories by old fans. How they got stuck, how they played.
Chess masters facing the challenge.
etc etc
There is so much histories, anecdotes, facts, trivia and all kind of delicious
stuff.
If a dozen of us could work on it, each in a part of it, then gathering all that
and mixing and fixing and editing....
I can see a very funny pastime occupation for our next sunset years...
